Panama is known for having a warm tropical climate almost all year long. Temperatures usually stay between 24°C and 34°C (75°F to 93°F), depending on the region and elevation.
The country mainly has two seasons:
Dry Season (Summer): Usually from December to April. These months are sunnier, less humid, and ideal for beaches, islands, hiking, and outdoor tourism.
Rainy Season (Green Season): Usually from May to November. Rain often comes in short but intense afternoon showers, while mornings can still be sunny. Nature becomes greener and rivers and waterfalls are more active.
Panama City and coastal areas tend to be hot and humid most of the year. Mountain destinations like Boquete or El Valle de Antón are cooler and fresher because of their elevation.
Unlike countries with four seasons, Panama does not experience snow, cold winters, or major temperature changes throughout the year. Travelers usually describe the climate as tropical, beach-friendly, and very green.
